Professor Khalid Ali El Amin is Sudanese and holds a PhD in Political Science; the Political Economy of Development from the University of Leeds, the UK in 1990; a B.Sc. (Honors) in Political Science, International Relations, the University of Khartoum plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Technology, School of Mathematical Sciences, the University of Khartoum in 2010.
He has done research and published on Sudan’s current development problems including; China-Sudan Relations, poverty, participation, conflict prevention and resolution, land tenure, land use and change in human activities and the environment. He has also conducted numerous research consultancies for national and international organizations on current socioeconomic and political problems in Sudan and supervised more than 50 M.Sc. student dissertations on various development dimensions in Sudan.
Khalid Ali El Amin currently works as an associate professor at the Development Studies and Research Institute, the University of Khartoum, and has been teaching Rural Development, Research Methodology and International Economic and Political Factors in Development, since 1990, to Masters, Post graduate Diploma and Political Science Honour students.
