Launch of the 2015 Global Go-To Think Tank Index Report

Theme: Why think tanks matter to policy makers and the public
CODESRIA is organizing a panel discussion on the occasion of the launch of the 2015 Global Go-To Think Thanks Index. The event is being organized in collaboration with Think Tanks & Civil Societies Program, Lauder Institute, University of Pennsylvania, who publishes the index.
It will take place in the seminar room at the CODESRIA Secretariat in Dakar on January 27, 2016 from 3pm to 5.30pm.
The theme of this year’s launch event is ‘Why think tanks matter to policy makers and the public’ and will facilitate reflection on the importance of think tanks in a changing Africa. After a brief overview of key points of the 2015 report, a group of panelists from Think Tanks, civil society and the state sector will reflect on the location and importance of think tanks in contemporary efforts at dealing with the challenges faced by the continent.
