Association of African universities: Calling for Scholars and Resource People
ENCYCLOPAEDIA AFRICANA Scientific Committee
Dear Valued Stakeholders
Warm greetings from the Association of African Universities Secretariat in Ghana.
The Encyclopaedia Africana Project (EAP) Secretariat in partnership with the Citizens and Diaspora Directorate (CIDO) of the African Union Commission are in the process of constituting a new Encyclopaedia Africana Scientific Committee for the next volume of the ENCYCLOPAEDIA AFRICANA.
We are therefore calling for academics, researchers or historians with an internationally-recognized track record in African History or African Studies to constitute the Scientific Committee. The candidates should be African scholars located in Africa, however we will consider a few African diaspora scholars as long as they have the right profile.
If you know anyone or if you fit this description please complete this form which will take you 4 minutes or less: https://www.research.net/r/ENCYCLOPAP
We will be grateful for your quick actions before Friday 13th July. Those that have already completed the survey – please do not re-register.
Please feel free to share with others.
The legacy of the Encyclopaedia Africana Project dates back to 1960, in Ghana, West Africa, when W.E.B. Du Bois witnessed the inauguration of the independent Republic. At that time, First President Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, asked Dr. Du Bois if he would plan an Encyclopaedia Africana. Dr. Du Bois consented to do this and to consult others. If you have specific questions please email: eapsecretariat@gmail.com
Thank you
Yours in the service of Higher Education in Africa.
Professor Etienne Ehouan EHILE
SECRETARY GENERAL
