CODESRIA Gender Institute 2018: Feminist Scholarship, Universities and Social Transformation in Africa

Dakar, Senegal: 14th to 25th May 2018

The Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA) is organizing its annual Gender Institute from the 14th to 25th of May 2018. The theme of this edition is: “Feminist Scholarship, Universities and Social Transformation in Africa. The institute is being directed by Prof. Philomina Okeke-Ihejirika of the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies, University of Alberta, Canada and Director, Pan African Collaboration for Excellence (PACE), University of Alberta. She is assisted by Dr. Awino Okech, Lecturer, Center for Gender Studies, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London and Dr Oumou Kouyate, University of Alassane Dramane Ouattara of Côte d’Ivoire.
