Chief-librarian
Emiliane Faye is the Chief-librarian in CODESRIA Documentation and Information Centre (CODICE). She holds a Master’s degree in Management and Valorization of Digital Information from the University of Montpellier III, France and a Master 2 in Project Management from the Higher Institute of Management (ISM) in Dakar, Senegal. She also holds a Higher Diploma in Information Science and Communication from the School of Librarians, Archivists and Documentalists (EBAD) at the Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar.
Emiliane joined CODESRIA in March 1991 as an intern and was confirmed as a documentalist in CODICE in January1995, where she manages the library collections, the processing of documents, the updating of databases, the user services, and bibliographical searches. She has extensive experience in digitization and electronic management of documents for successful managing of the entire digitization process of theses and dissertations sponsored by CODESRIA which resulted in the setting-up of the CODESRIA’s institutional repository. Emiliane is Senegalese.
