‘Fertility Transition in Africa’ : Workshop & Training School
We are delighted to announce that registration is now open for the Workshop on “Fertility Transition in Africa”, taking place on 23 – 25 April 2014, in Oxford, and for the Training School to follow, on 28 April – 1 May.
This Workshop will gather researchers, policy makers and practitioners from around the world to share their expertise on Fertility Transition in Africa. It will provide the opportunity to establish professional collaborations and create a network of knowledge to understand the drivers of fertility and tackle population challenges.
The Workshop will be followed by a Training School in Oxford including:
Expert Lectures
Understanding Research Data
Implementing Policy Directives
Exploring practice
Case studies from Africa, Asia and Latin America
Networking with NGOs, researchers and policy makers

To register, please complete the Registration Form and send it to Dr.Katia Padvalkava at katia.padvalkava@ageing.ox.ac.uk by 20 March 2014 at the latest.
We are accepting papers for presentation and discussion at the workshop. If you would like to submit a paper, please send a 250-word abstract with your registration form.
There are a number of bursaries available to support some of the participants. If you would like to apply for a bursary, please send your Curriculum Vitae and a letter explaining your reasons for needing financial support, along with your registration form. Please note that the deadline for bursary applications is 21 February 2014.
