Project Title / Titre du projet: Decolonising Epilepsy Care: Co-Designing Culturally Grounded Treatment Pathways with Indigenous Knowledge Holders in Mahenge, Tanzania

Biographie / Biography: Since 2024 to date(Currently), I am finalising my Master’s research (Thesis) titled ‘More than Money: The social implications of digital loans on marriage, gender, and households’ moral economy in Dar es Salaam,’ and will submit it for final examination in May 2026 at the University of Pretoria. At the same time, I am interning with the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) under the Department of Social Development and Innovation in Tanzania. Here, I support policy-oriented research and indigenous knowledge synthesis on social and economic development issues, livelihoods, and inclusive growth involving young people and women. I conduct qualitative and desk-based analysis of development policies, programs, and national strategies to assess implementation gaps and social impacts. I also collaborate with the Tanzanian government, ministries, and local communities to deliver project objectives. I monitor and evaluate, and co-create solutions, documenting learning outcomes, indigenous knowledge, and best practices to assist in development interventions across Tanzania’s grassroots communities.
