Project Title / Titre du projet: Youth, Indigenous Justice Knowledges and the Reimagining of Statebuilding in South Sudan

Biographie / Biography: Oversee the operational, financial, and administrative management of the Peace, Security, and Development Fellowships for young Africans from conflict-affected regions. Contribute to the design and continuous refinement of fellowship curricula to ensure responsiveness to evolving global peace and security challenges. Through this work, support emerging leaders in developing critical approaches to peacebuilding and strengthen their capacity to translate lived experiences of (in)security into rigorous knowledge production and meaningful action.
Produce and curate knowledge outputs that advance the research agenda on “Peace, Society and the State in Africa.” Lead the Working Group on South Sudan, coordinating in-depth academic analysis of the country’s transitional processes and translating research findings into evidence-based policy recommendations, programmatic interventions, and peacebuilding strategies aimed at sustainable futures.
Represent the ALC on the Africans for Horn of Africa (Af4HA) solidarity platform. Conduct regular political and security analysis on Sudan and South Sudan, with a focus on governance, conflict dynamics, and their implications for civic space and women’s rights. Generate policy-relevant insights to inform regional advocacy, coalition engagement, and strategic responses by civil society actors across the Greater Horn of Africa
