African Journal of International Affairs: Call for articles

The African Journal of International Affairs (AJIA) is a bi-annual refereed publication of CODESRIA, Dakar, Senegal. It serves as a credible platform for critical thinking, research and policy-relevant knowledge on African international affairs in relation to inter-state, regional and trans-territorial relations, issues and diplomacy, Africa’s political economy, Africa’s relations with the world, including the impact of global trends and actors on the continent and their policy implications. The AJIA provides a forum for debating, analyzing and disseminating research-based knowledge on the state of affairs in Africa’s international relations as it relates to the role of new actors, regional organizations, peace, conflict, security and Africa’s place in a post-Cold war world.

The AJIA welcomes contributions in English and French. Such contributions should be based on original research or a thematic discussion of an issue or case that is relevant to Africa’s international affairs.

Such contributions should be accompanied with an abstract, and should not exceed 7,000 words, including endnotes and references. Shorter contributions such as review articles (2, 500 words), book reviews (1, 200 words) and Briefing Notes (1, 200 words) are also invited.
