Theresa Moyo is a retired Professor. Her last employment was with the University of Limpopo (UL) where she served as a Full Professor in the Master of Development (MDEV) Programme at the Turfloop Graduate School of Leadership (TGSL) in Polokwane City, South Africa. She was with the institution from 2005 to 2022. She holds a BSc Hons (Economics) and M Phil (Economics) degrees from the University of Zimbabwe and MA (Economics) and PhD (Economics) degrees from University of Dalhousie in Canada. One of her major achievements is that she has supervised close to 60 Students who have since graduated with the Master of Development in Planning and Management degree (University of Limpopo) and also co-supervised some PhD students in Uganda. Although she has retired, she is still actively involved in research and publishing particularly on issues of Africa’s development such as, but not limited to industrialization, climate change and gender equality and empowerment of women. She is currently affiliated with Africa Insight, a journal of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) in South Africa. She is the Deputy Editor.
